Privacy policy
Last updated: 6 October 2026
This policy covers Celly for After Effects ("Celly"), an extension for Adobe After Effects. For our website and mailing list, see the Move it Media privacy policy.
In short
- Celly runs on your computer, inside After Effects.
- Data from your Google account goes straight from Google to your computer. It never passes through a server of ours.
- We do not sell or share your data. We do not use it for advertising or to train AI models.
Who is responsible
Berend van Eerde, trading as Move it Media, Arnhem, the Netherlands. Dutch Chamber of Commerce (KvK) 81369077. Email: privacy@berendvaneerde.nl.
Google user data
Connecting a Google account to Celly is optional. If you connect one, Google first shows you which access Celly asks for, and Celly can do nothing until you agree.
What Celly accesses
- The spreadsheets you choose as a data source in Celly: their column names and rows.
- Files in your Google Drive that those spreadsheets link to, such as images and videos, when Celly places them in your comps.
- The email address of the connected account, so Celly can show which account is connected.
How Celly uses it
Only to do what you ask in the panel: fill your After Effects template with the rows of your sheet, show a preview of a row, and place the linked files in the comps Celly makes. Celly uses the data for nothing else.
Where it is stored
Everything stays on your computer:
- The access token Google gives Celly is kept in Celly's own storage on your computer.
- A copy of the rows of your sheet is saved in your After Effects project file, so the project opens with the same data.
- Downloaded files are saved in a folder on your disk, so After Effects can import them.
We have no copy of any of it. You can withdraw Celly's access at any time on your Google Account permissions page. To remove the data itself, delete the project files and downloaded files.
Sharing
Celly does not transfer Google user data to us or to anyone else. Nobody reads your data. We do not sell it, use it for advertising, or use it to develop or train AI or machine-learning models.
Limited Use
Celly's use and transfer to any other app of information received from Google APIs will adhere to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.
Problem reports
Celly keeps a log of errors on your computer. Nothing is sent to us unless you choose "Report a problem" and send the report yourself. A report contains:
- your description of the problem;
- your email address, if you enter one;
- the versions of Celly, After Effects and your operating system;
- Celly's recent error log, only if you tick the box to include it.
The report window shows exactly what will be sent before you send it. We use a report only to answer you and fix the problem, and we delete it when that is done.
Your rights
Under the GDPR you can ask which personal data we hold about you, and have it corrected or deleted. Because Celly keeps your data on your computer, we usually hold none. Email privacy@berendvaneerde.nl. You can also file a complaint with the Dutch data protection authority, the Autoriteit Persoonsgegevens.
Changes
If Celly starts to use data in a new way, this page changes before Celly does. When Celly goes on sale, this page will also cover licences and payments.
